Ab de Villiers and Virat Kohli hold the record for the top two partnerships in IPL history. The stitched a partnership of 229 against the Gujarat Lions in the 2016 season. Kohli smashed 109 off 55 balls while de Villers finished 129* off 52 balls as RCB set a huge total of 248/3 in their 20 overs.

2. AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli – 215*

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers take the 2nd spot on the list of the highest partnerships in the Indian Premier League. In 2015, the duo put up a brilliant unbeaten partnership of 215 runs against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, AB de Villiers hammered 133* off 59 balls, including 19 fours and 4 sixes. Kohli finished on 82 of 50 balls.

3. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul – 210*

Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul lead the charts for the highest opening partnership in the Indian Premier League. The Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul and QDK stitched together a mammoth 210-run unbeaten opening partnership. De Kock contributed with 140 off just 70 balls and Rahul got 68 off 51 balls.

4. Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh – 206

In the 2011 season of the IPL, Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh smashed the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers all around the park. Adam Gilchrist smoked 106 off 55 balls while Marsh hit 79* off 49 balls. The pair stitched a 206-run partnership in 96 balls.

5. Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle – 204*

Virat Kohli features 3rd time on this list, he stitched an unbeaten partnership of 204 against the former IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils. Gayle hammered 128* off 62 balls and Kohli smashed 73 in 53 balls.
