1. Chris Gayle – 175* of 66 balls.

Chris Gayle holds the record for scoring the most runs in an inning, he got this record after smashing 175 runs off 66 balls against Pune Warriors while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2013 season. Gayle got to his century in only 30 balls and then went past his 150 as well and ended with 166*.

2. Brendon McCullum – 158* of 73 balls.

Brendon McCullum set the stage on fire when he smacked 158 runs off 73 balls in the inaugural match of the first-ever IPL season. McCullum played this knock while being part of Kolkata Knight Riders against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The knock included 10 boundaries and 13 maximums, it remained the highest score for a long time before Chris Gayle broke the record.

3. Quinton de Kock – 140* of 70 balls.

In the 2022 IPL season, Quinton de Kock playing for the Lucknow Super Giants against Kolkata Knight Riders, smashed a magnificent 140* off 70 balls. He shared an unbeaten 210-run partnership with KL Rahul who scored an unbeaten 68 off 51 deliveries. The South African wicketkeeper hammered 10 boundaries and a few huge sixes as well.

4. AB de Villiers – 133* of 59 balls

In the 2015 IPL match played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB de Villiers played a memorable knock of 133 runs off 59 balls. Mr. 360 hit 19 boundaries and 4 maximums in his fantastic innings.

5. KL Rahul – 132* of 69 balls.

In the 2020 season of the IPL which was played in UAE, the Punjab skipper KL Rahul hammered 132 runs in an inning against his ex-franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. This is the highest individual score by an Indian player in the IPL. Rahul smacked 14 boundaries and 7 maximum in his outstanding knock.
