IPL 2023 stats: Most runs scored by a batter in the Indian Premier League
The IPL 2023 witnessed the most hundreds scored since 2008, A total of 11 centuries was smashed this season. The IPL has seen plenty of high-scoring affairs over the years and some players have made it a habit to get centuries every season. Players have accumulated a lot of runs this season as we saw a lot of pitches used who were aiding run making. 1. Shubman Gill – 890 runs
Shubman Gill tops the charts for the most runs scored in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League. He scored a total of 890 runs which included 3 magnificent centuries. Shubman Gill has been very impressive with the bat and his explosive batting took GT all the way to the finals for the 2nd time in a row.
2. Faf du Plessis – 730 runs
Faf du Plessis comes 2nd on the list, with 730 runs this season. Faf was excellent at the top for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he made full use of the powerplay and also anchored the innings on several occasions. Du Plessis got close to scoring a century but failed to get one under his belt this season.
3. Devon Conway – 672 runs
Devon Conway, the left hand opener from New Zealand takes the 3rd on the list of the most runs scored in the Indian Premier League 2023 reason. A total 672 runs were scored by the south paw which include 5 half centuries. Devon Conway was excellent in the powerplay and also ensured CSK got off to brisk starts in all their matches. His role is this team holds a lot of value and will return to play for CSK in the next season as well.
4. Virat Kohli – 639 runs
The former Royal Challengers Bangalore Skipper, Virat Kohli smashed 1 century this season and scored a total of 639 runs and takes the 4th spot on the list of the most runs scored in the 2023 edition of the IPL. The Royal Challengers Bangalore couldn’t make it to the play offs despite some tremendous batting by Kohli is the do or die game against Gujarat Titans.
5. Yashsvi Jaiswal – 625 runs
Yashsvi Jaiswal had an outstanding season with the bat for Rajasthan Royals, he outscored his opening partner Jos Buttler and managed to score 625 runs this season which puts him on the 5th spot in the list of the most runs scored this season by a player.
