Who is Srihari Natraj’s parents? Know everything about his mother and father

Srihari Natraj is an Indian professional swimmer. He is the youngest Indian male swimmer to qualify for FINA ‘A’ standard of international swimming in the men’s 100m backstrokes and to earn a direct entry for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Nataraj’s efforts gave a new identity to the Indian swimming fraternity in the international arena.

Srihari won the first gold medal in 2016 in the 100 M backstroke at the South Asian Aquatic Championship. He also won gold in the other two categories of 200 metres in backstroke and 4x * 100 metres in Medley Relay. He also won silver in the same event in the 50-metre backstroke. In the 2017 National Junior Aquatic Championship, he won gold in 50 m, 100 metre and 200-metre backstroke & 200-metre freestyle. Subsequently, Srihari represented India in the Commonwealth Games 2018 and then again in 2022.

Apart from that, Natraj has also represented India in the 2019 World Aquatics Championships and the mega event, the Tokyo Summer Olympics. In 2019 he won gold medals in all four styles of swimming in the South Asian Games championship. In July 2022 Srihari qualified for the semifinals ranking fifth as he swam a time of 54.68 seconds in the preliminaries of the 100-meter backstroke. He also owns two records, the national record in the men’s 100-metre backstroke at the Sette Colli trophy meet in Rome, in 2021 and the first Indian to reach finals in the 2018 Youth Olympics.

Achievements

Natraj has become the poster boy of Indian swimming after delivering solid domestic and international performances. He qualified for the Tokyo Summer Olympics after FINA approved his ‘A’ standard qualification time in the men’s 100m backstroke time trial at the Sette Colli Trophy in Rome. Moreover, in the national/domestic circuit also Natraj has made giant strides.

On the other hand, Srihari currently holds the national record in both the 100 m backstroke and the 50 m backstroke. These results have truly cemented Natraj’s position in the Indian swimming team in the forthcoming Olympics.

Debut

Srihari Nataraj marked his international debut in 2015 at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championships. He ended up with the 8th position in 200m Medley, 6th in 100m Backstroke, and 200m in Backstroke.
