EPL stats: Which clubs have scored the most headed goals in 2022-23 Premier League season?

The 2022-23 Premier League season was filled with several goal-mouth action, as the supporters were treated to another entertaining campaign. The league fans witnessed a lot of wonder goals which were scored by individual brilliance, while there were also some beautifully-worked team goals. Not to mention the good amount of headed strikes scored during the course of the season. It is time to look back at the teams that have scored the most headed goals during the recently-concluded campaign.

Which club has scored the most headed goals?

There are two teams sharing the top spot in this list. They are Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur with 15 headed strikes over the course of the Premier League season. Both clubs endued contrasting seasons in their own regard. Fulham surprised many with their top-level performances that saw them not only get good results but also finish in the top half of the league standings.

However, the same cannot be said for Tottenham Hotspur, who endured a forgettable season. After being labelled as a Champions League qualification contender at the start of the season, it was quite difficult to see how much Spurs struggled at the business end of the campaign. Tottenham had such a poor finish to the season that they missed out on Europe altogether by settling for the eight spot in the table.

Liverpool completed the top three by scoring 13 goals through headers in the league. Jurgen Klopp’s side also had a disappointing 2022-23 season in all competitions. They were termed as a favourite for the major titles at the beginning of the campaign, however, what transpired later was beyond surprising. The Reds missed out on Champions League football by finishing fifth in the table and also suffered early exits in other competitions.

Arsenal, Manchester City tied for fourth

The fourth place in this list is shared by the teams that finished in the top two positions in the league table last season. Second-placed Arsenal and champions Manchester City have both scored 12 headed goals each. The Gunners led the standings for a long time before collapsing at the business end of the campaign, allowing Man City to leapfrog them and win the title.
