FIH Hockey5s Men’s World Cup: Schedule, Live Streaming details and More
The 2024 Men’s FIH Hockey 5s World Cup will kick off on January 28 and wrap up on January 23 in Oman. In this event, sixteen teams are split into four groups. Pool A includes Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, and the Netherlands. Competing in Pool B are Egypt, India, Jamaica, and Switzerland. In Pool C, Australia, Kenya, New Zealand, and Trinidad & Tobago will battle for advancement. Pool D features Fiji, Malaysia, Oman, and the USA.
The top two teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals on Tuesday, January 30. The semifinals will follow on that same day. The final match of the Men’s FIH Hockey 5s World Cup 2024 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31. India’s first match is against Switzerland on January 28th at 11:10 AM IST, followed by a game against Egypt at 7:30 PM IST. Their last group match will be on January 29th at 9:30 AM IST against Jamaica.
The top two teams from the groups will advance to the Quarterfinals on January 30th, with the Semifinals later that day and the Final on January 31st. Led by Olympic Bronze medal winner Simranjeet Singh and with Mandeep Mor as the Vice Captain, the Indian Men’s Team looks strong. Suraj Karkera and Prashant Kumar Chauhan will be in charge of goalkeeping.
