EPL stats: Clubs with most victories in Premier League era

It is not only difficult to survive in the Premier League but to establish themselves as a mainstay in the division is an extremely difficult task. Very few clubs have managed to do that while the rest have fallen away with limited success. Only a handful of clubs have managed to register over 500 victories in the Premier League era. It is no easy task to do that in a league as difficult as the English top flight, however, few teams have managed to make the impossible possible with consistent success.

Which is the club with most Premier League wins?

Sitting at the top of the pile is Manchester United. No club has had more success than the Red Devils in the Premier League era. Most of that credit has to be given to former legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. He created a dynasty at Old Trafford, as United kept making new landmarks. His unrivalled success at the helm of the red half of Manchester has helped the club create plenty of records in the division.

Manchester United have won 719 games in the Premier League, way more than any other side in the division. Most of that success was achieved during the incredible reign under Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils have not been the same since the legendary manager retired. They have had little success in the post-Sir Alex era, with the club struggling to match the big boys in the country. United have been just a shadow of their usual self in the last decade.

Clubs with more than 500 EPL victories

There are only four other clubs that have managed to register more than 500 victories in the Premier League history. Arsenal are second in the list. The Gunners have 642 victories to their name and a lot of that credit must go to former manager Arsene Wenger. The French coach revolutionised English football when he became the manager of the London outfit. His style of play immediately drew praise from pundits and supporters, as Arsenal went on to have a largely successful period under his management.

Third in the list is Chelsea. The Blues are not that far behind with 628 victories to their name. The Stamford Bridge outfit had their difficult period in the division and have had a long list of managers taking care of the club. Despite the instability, Chelsea have more often than not stayed at the top end of the table. Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur wrap up the fourth and fifth place in the table respectively. What surprises the most is that defending champions Manchester City have less than 500 victories to their name.
