Nic Nemeth Shares His Views On Can Cody Rhodes Overcome Roman Reigns?

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are once again going to fight for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40. This year Cody became a back-to-back Royal Rumble winner and the expectations are high among fans as they expect this to be entertained by top-notch wrestling moves and storyline. Last year, Reigns won the title with The Bloodline backing him up which makes fans ready for the next rematch where they don’t know if Reigns will be the same or if The Bloodline will help him win again.

WrestleMania Showdown: Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes

However, the Reigns vs Rhodes fight at the WrestleMania will have a big difference: a match stipulation that was announced by The Rock. And during a tag match, Rhodes will join forces with Seth Rollins against Roman Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. If they manage to get past them, then The Bloodline will not be permitted to be ringside for the WWE Universal Championship match on Day 2 of WrestleMania 40. Nevertheless, if Reigns and The Rock win the tag team match on Day 1, then the stipulation for the match could change to “Bloodline Rules,” which itself can give an advantage to Roman Reigns.

Nic Nemeth used to wrestle for WWE, he shared his view on the upcoming showdown as one of the guests in the recent episode of “Busted Open Radio“. He was sure that this would be a two-night thing. He pondered the consequences for the winner of the 2023-2024 men’s Royal Rumble. Nemeth emphasized the importance of storytelling and suggested that not every narrative has a happy ending. This sparked curiosity about the outcome of the championship bout.

Nic Nemeth’s Bold Insights

Speculation arose about the potential plot twists to add depth to the storyline. Nemeth suggested one scenario involving the WWE legends such as The Undertaker and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin intervening to neutralize The Bloodline before the match and allowing Rhodes to face Reigns alone under the “The Bloodline Rules” stipulation. Another possibility was proposed by the “Busted Open” co-host Dave LaGreca which involved Cody’s brother, Dustin Rhodes aiding him in his quest for victory.

Nemeth offered his take on the ongoing storyline advocating for a narrative that highlights Rhodes’ growth and resilience over the past two years. He envisioned a scenario where Rhodes with the support of his family and wrestling icons including The Rock and Triple H overcomes the odds to achieve victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania  40. However, he cautioned against a predictable outcome and suggested that Rhodes may face challenges on his path to WrestleMania glory.
