Behrendorff, an outstanding Australian cricketer who throws mean left-arm fast bowling, was born on April 20, 1990, in Camden, New South Wales. Interestingly, he grew up in Canberra, not in New South Wales. He played for Australian Capital Territory in under-17 and under-19 cricket. Fast-forward to the 2009–10 season, and we find him in Western Australia. Here, he caught the eyes of the selectors with his stellar performance in a trial game. Then came the Futures League, where he shone brightly. This led to his List A debut in the 2010–11 Ryobi One-Day Cup for Western Australia. After that, he became a solid fixture, not only in Sheffield Shield but also in Matador BBQs One-Day Cup. The Western Australian Cricket Association had high praise for him, even presenting him with the “Future Legend” award.

Behrendorff stood out in the Big Bash League. He played for Perth Scorchers in 2012-13 season and was key to their successive triumphs in 2013-14 and 2014-15. The “Domestic Player of the Year” award at 2014 Allan Border Medal was his due to his superb performances. His journey on the international pitch started in October 2017 when he debuted in T20I for Australia versus India. The left-arm bowler’s first One-Day Internationals (ODIs) were in January 2019.
