EPL stats: Players with most assists in the Premier League history

Premier League have been blessed with some of the best in the business since its inception in 1992. The fast-paced nature of the league has been a treat to watch for the supporters. Besides, in the last decade or two, the lucrative TV deals have also helped the clubs in the league get massive revenue to build squads capable of fighting against any side on a given day. This reduces the gap between the top sides and the ones sitting at the bottom of the pile.

As a result, there are no easy matches in the English top flight. Clubs have to give their all against every team to get the maximum points. This challenging nature of the league makes every game a must-watch for their supporters. The league is filled with international stars all over the pitch, increasing the competitive nature of the matches. With the challenges aplenty and the difficulty level at its peak, it becomes extremely testing for a player to survive in the Premier League.

Even though it has been quite a few years since he retired, there is no one remotely close to threatening Giggs assist record in the Premier League. A good distance behind Giggs, with second in the list is Cesc Fabregas with 111 assists. The Spaniard made a name for himself during his time with Arsenal under Arsene Wenger. Fabregas’ ability to receive the ball under pressure and releasing it to his teammates in the attacking third has always been a treat to watch. Later in his career, he has also enjoyed few fruitful seasons with Chelsea in the Premier League.
