Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul lead the charts for the highest opening partnership in the Indian Premier League. The Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock stitched together a mammoth 210-run unbeaten opening partnership. De Kock contributed with 140 off just 70 balls and Rahul got 68 off 51 balls.

2. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner – 185

Jonny Bairstow and David Warner were at their destructive best against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2019, they stitched a 185-run opening partnership, and both players smashed centuries, Bairstow scored 114 runs off 56 balls while Warner hit 100 runs off 55 balls.

3. Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn – 184*

In this IPL 2017 match, Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn started brilliantly with 184 runs for the first wicket. Lynn scored 93 runs off 41 balls while Gambhir made 76 runs in 48 balls.  

4. KL Rahul and Mayank Agrawal – 183

At Sharjah, in the UAE, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul notched up a 183-run partnership against the Rajasthan Royals. Mayank had hit a brilliant hundred in the first innings scoring 106 runs off 50 balls while Rahul smashed 69 runs off 54 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six.

5. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway – 182

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway come 5th on the list of the highest partnerships in the Indian Premier League. The Chennai Super Kings openers started off cautiously before taking the attack on the bowlers. Ruturaj scored 99 off 57 deliveries while Conway remained unbeaten on 85 off 55 balls. They added 182 runs for the first wicket creating a record.
