Sharma was making a return to cricket and boy, did he make a sensational come back. He started with two back-to-back man of the match performances in his first two game and played a crucial role in Gujarat making it to the finals.

3. Rashid Khan – 27 wickets (Gujarat Titans)

Rashid Khan comes 3rd on the list of the most wickets taken in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League. The Afghan spinner was at his usual best, he deceived a number of batters with his trickery and managed to take 27 wicket, just one less the leading wicket taker Mohammad Shami.

4. Piyush Chawla – 22 wickets (Mumbai Indians)

Piyush Chawla was the leader of the Mumbai Indians’ bowling attack. The 34-year-old leg-spinner stepped up in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer to make sure Mumbai Indians make it to the play-off after dismal start to the season.

5. Yuzvendra Chahal – 21 wickets (Rajasthan Royals)

Yuzvendra Chahal had an outstanding season with the bowl for Rajasthan Royals, he finished as the leading wicket taker of the team with 21 scalps to his name. Chahal was leading the wicket takers in the first phase of the season but lost his form towards the end.
