Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s contract 2024: Know everything about his contract length and salary

Shaivonte Aician Gilgeous-Alexander was born July 12, 1998. He is also known by his initials, SGA. He is a Canadian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association. He played one year of collegiate basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before being taken 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2018 NBA draft. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers the same night.

Gilgeous-Alexander began his collegiate career as a reserve, sitting behind freshman point guard Quade Green, but still played more over 30 minutes each game. Following a difficult defeat to UCLA, Alexander exploded against Louisville in December, scoring 24 points, collecting 5 rebounds, handing out 4 assists, and getting 3 steals. Gilgeous-Alexander had long hair when he initially arrived at the University of Kentucky campus.

However, he chopped his hair early in the season, and some believe this sparked his transition from sixth man to starting point guard. He proceeded to lead the squad in the next two games, scoring 21 against Georgia and 18 against LSU. He was a steady contributor to a “struggling” UK club that had a four-game losing run this season. He started with four other freshmen: Hamidou Diallo, Nick Richards, Kevin Knox II, and P.J. Washington.
