Lillard not only won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, but also joined Blake Griffin (2011), David Robinson (1990), and Ralph Sampson (1984) as the only unanimous winners, with averages of 19.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.90 steals, and 38.6 minutes in 82 games (all starts). He is also the only rookie in NBA history to have more than 1,500 points and 500 assists in a season, joining Oscar Robertson and Allen Iverson.

Western Conference Finals in 2019

He was awarded Western Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 31, his sixth weekly honor in his career and the first of the 2018-19 season, on April 1. In April, he became the first Blazer with 2,000 points and 500 assists in the same season, and the first Blazer other than Drexler with 2,000 points in two seasons with the franchise. He also broke his franchise record of 229 3-pointers made in the 2015-16 season, bringing his career total to 1,500. Lillard finished sixth in the 2019 MVP race, earning 69 of the 1,010 points available.

On April 23, Lillard scored a 37-foot game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer and ended with a postseason career-high 50 points to help the Trail Blazers defeat the Thunder in five games, 118-115. He set a club record with ten 3-pointers. Lillard scored 39 points in a 121-113 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of the second round. In Game 6, he scored 32 points in a 119-108 victory, tying the Trail Blazers’ series with the Nuggets at 3-3.

He scored 13 points on 3-of-17 shooting in the decisive Game 7, leading the Trail Blazers to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2000. Lillard split his ribs in Game 2 of the conference finals, but he played through the pain for the rest of the series, which the Trail Blazers lost in a four-game sweep to the Warriors.
