Who is Aakarshi Kashyap’s parents? Know everything about his mother and father

A rising star from India, Aakarshi Kashyap, made her mark by overcoming Pakistan’s Mahoor Shahzad to move forward to the last 16 in the women’s singles at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. She followed in the footsteps of famous Indian players PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth, who also secured spots in the same round. Kashyap benefitted from her competitor’s injury-induced exit, securing victory in straight games, and showing great enthusiasm and skill with her racket play.

Aakarshi Kashyap, from Durg, Chattisgarh, has since become a hot topic, grabbing headlines and buzzing on social media where many have recognized her impressive performance. Training at the respected Suchitra Badminton Academy, alongside PV Sindhu under fitness coach M. Srikanth, she’s realized that stepping up her game when leading is vital. Kashyap recalls keeping up until 13-14 in her opening match against Pai Yu Po. However, at the All England stage, she met with a quick exit, losing 21-16, 21-11 in just 37 minutes, a performance she’d rather forget.

At 25 years old, with her determination often on display in enduring rallies despite not having a powerful finisher’s shot, finding supporters can be challenging. Yet, her past glories include training at Prakash Padukone Academy in Bengaluru and living with her mom in lodgings provided by Olympic Gold Quest. She shone brightly, winning both under-17 and under-19 titles at the 25th Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament on October 16, 2016. During the same year, Kashyap donned the Indian colors at the Badminton Asia U15 and U17 junior championships in Kudus, Indonesia, where she proudly brought home a bronze medal.
