Additionally, she secured a victory in the Under 17 category at the Khelo India School Games in January 2018 and earned the girl’s singles title at the Yonex Sunrise all-India junior ranking badminton tournament that May. In December 2021, Kashyap held onto her women’s singles titles at the All India Ranking tournament, beating qualifier Tanya Hemanth in two straight sets, 21-15, 21-12. In 2022, she overcame Ashmitia Chaliha in the Badminton Association of India’s selection trials, which secured her a spot for the Uber Cup, as well as in the individual and team events at the Asian and Commonwealth Games.

More recently, on February 26, 2024, Aakarshi triumphed in the Uganda International Challenge, taking home the women’s singles title by defeating Shruti Mundada. She scored a double win in under-17 and under-19 at the 42nd Junior National Badminton Championship in Guwahati in December 2017.

International Career

In December 2021, Aakarshi Kashyap grabbed the women’s singles crown again at the All India Ranking event. She kept her title by beating Tanya Hemanth easily, winning 21-15, 21-12 in the final. The following year, Aakarshi triumphed over Ashmitia Chaliha during BAI’s selection trials. This win earned her a spot on the team for the Uber Cup, as well as the Asian and Commonwealth games, in both singles and team categories.

Recently in Feburary, Aakarshi Kashyap shined at the Uganda International Challenge by winning the women’s singles on Monday. She faced another Indian, Shruti Mundada, and won after a tough fight in a 48-minute match. The final scores were 25-23, 21-18, as Aakarshi managed to stay ahead of Shruti, who played hard in both sets.
