The Diamond League which is a premier series of athletic competitions organized by World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF or International Association of Athletics Federations) is preparing to launch its 14th edition. The league, established in 2010, succeeded the IAAF Golden League which had been held annually since 1998. The Wanda Group’s partnership, initiated in December 2019, resulted in the event’s full sponsorship title being named the Wanda Diamond League.
The 2023 Diamond League is slated to commence with the Doha leg on May 5, 2023, that will have an impressive lineup of Olympic, World Championships, and European Championships medalists such as Shericka Jackson, Neeraj Chopra, Anderson Peters, Jakub Vadlejch, Fred Kerley, Daniel Stahl, Kristjan Čeh, Pedro Pichardo, Christian Taylor, Katie Moon, Katerina Stefanidi, Dina Asher-Smith, Kenny Bednarek, Simon Pettersson and Michael Norman.
Following the leg in Doha, the series will continue in Rabat, Morocco on May 28, 2023, and will conclude with the finals at the Hayward Field in Eugene, United States, on September 16 and 17, 2023.
